Panama enjoys a tropical climate where night temperatures rarely drop below 23 °C in the Pacific lowlands. The mountain ranges are substantially cooler. The average daily temperatures reach about 30 °C throughout the year. There are basically two seasons only, El Verano (summer) from mid-December till May when the rainfall is minimal on the Pacific side and El Invierno (winter) for remaining part of the year when the Pacific side receives the major volume of its precipitation. The rainfall on the Caribbean side is distributed more evenly throughout the year as it receives almost a double of the Pacific’s volume. Although rainy-season thunderstorms are common, the country is outside the hurricane belt. You can check the temperatures & rainfall in our area in the table below. Our project is located about 300m above the sea level, so the temperatures at your potential future house will be about 3 °C lower.
